Winter Backpacking Algonquin Park 2023

Bags are packed and the snowshoes are on, ready for a winter backpacking experience. We began our trip by hiking in and found a place to set up camp off the trail. The forest became our cozy home for the next few days. We cooked food together, built quinzees, and explore the neighbouring trails. Fresh cold water from the semi-open steam refreshed us after a long day of hiking. Then, tea and soup warmed our bellies in the evening before an early sleep at 8pm (we were tired!).

Lets not forget about the fun we had too! From snowshoe races to climbing trees together, we had a blast. Maybe some wouldn’t consider a raccoon accidentally eating our oatmeal fun but hey, it’s part of the experience.
